May 24, 1947 – July 17, 2014
With his family by his side, Alan passed away peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville. Predeceased by his parents, he will be forever in the hearts of his wife Karen, daughter Kirsten (Stacy), son Kevin (Courtney), brother David (Nancy), sisters Mary (David) and Martha (Darwin) and his adored granddaughters Hunter, Devon, Rae and Elle.
We are saying goodbye at Christ Church Anglican, 22 Nancy Street, Bolton at 1 o’clock on Monday, July 21st.
Afterwards we are sharing our memories and love for Alan at Caledon Woods Golf Club, 15608 Hwy. 50, Bolton. Those joining us are asked to wear their golf shirts in honour of Alan, who love the game, as he loved all good times and to bring their happiest memories to share with the family.
In loving memory of Alan, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Karen: I spoke with you at church this morning and am shocked at how young your husband was! He was born the same year as I was married which doesn’t seem all that long ago to me.
My thoughts will be with you and your family tomorrow. I swear that church harbors fountains of comfort, I hope they work for you.

Many years later as I tried to track down one of his two lovely sisters.
Alan was kind, and he was a gentleman. I know this by observing him as a young man who was very “popular and in”, especially as he shone on the hills at Mt. Orford in the eastern townships. He took time and gave attention to and showed interest in the “not so in crowd”. He brightened the days of quite a few otherwise forgotten souls.
Blessings to your family. You are remembered even by those you might never have known you touched.
