Alex was unforgettable. From the first moment I met him in the mid nineties, he was a constant guide and mentor in this very turbulent travel business. He told it like it is, like it was, like it had been – you always knew where you stood with Alex.
We will miss him and we extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Val and his family.
Michael and I wish you all the best.

To Val, Vanessa, Nicole and all those who knew and loved Alex. Our hearts are with you and we ask the God of all comfort to be with you and send His angels to strengthen you and give you peace as you grieve but knowing that Alex is no longer suffering. He is in fact enjoying the greatest peace. His life is not ended, he is in the presence of the source of all peace and joy. The sorrow is for those that are still here but may there be comfort in it for you also. The world was and is still better for Alex having been in it and especially in the lives of his beloved family.

Val and family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I can’t count over the years how many conversations we have had planning our trips that turned into hour long conversations. He always had a story and an antidote to share. Loved his “school bus with wings”
I actually never met Alex in person as I live in Oshawa but I felt like I knew him because he shared himself and truly cared about people.
Our deepest condolences and I hope you find solace in the fact that he truly made a difference in other people’s lives.
He was a special man and will be missed.
