Peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Residence, Toronto, on Monday, January 25, 2010, Alexander Patrick Pitkin, Nobleton, in his 84th year, beloved husband for 61 years of Helen (nee Sutherland). Loving father of Edmond (Penny), Deborah (Brian), William (Ann) Pitkin, John (Judy), Bruce, Douglas. Cherished grandfather of David, Peter, Christopher, Michael, Stephen, Jennifer, Laura, Joanne, Stephen, Andrew, Alexandra, Hunter, Zachary and predeceased by Dalton. Dear brother of the late Robert, Edmund and Walter Pitkin. The family wish to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook for their loving care and attention provided to Alex. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213), Thursday afternoon 2-4 and evening 7-9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday morning, January 29 at 11 o’clock. To be followed by a reception at the funeral home and interment in Nobleton Community Cemetery.
