Dear Erika, Rick, Denise and family,
We were so sorry to hear about Arnold’s passing. He was a very friendly, kind man and always had a word or a wave to all of us across the street at 24. We have been your neighbours for over 25 years and we will miss seeing him puttering about the house.
He has had his health challenges over the past few years and has suffered through these problems with much grace and dignity.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Deirdre, David, Jeremy, Patrick and Curtis Barker

Our sincere condolences and best wishes to Tante Erika, Rick and Denise at the passing of Onkel Arnold.
A very warm and soft-spoken man, Onkel Arnold was among my family’s earliest friends and relatives, all of whom arrived in Canada from Germany in the early 1950s to begin a new life after the tumult of post-war Europe.
Alas, another link to our childhood is lost . .
