I fondly remember chatting with Art when he and Reg used to fix my old Dodge cars. He was a pleasant man and will be missed.

Art was a trustworthy mechanic and always tried to fix things as inexpensively as possible. He kept my Dodge Dart on the road long after it should have gone to the scrap pile! Caledon East has lost another bit of its character and history. My sympathies to the Brooks family.

Dear Sandra and Family,
My condolences on the loss of your father. You always spoke so fondly of your dad – you spoke about him not only as a father, but as a friend. You were very fortunate to have a great soul for your dad. May he Rest in Peace and may you and the family get through this sad time without too much difficulty. God bless you.

Dear Velma, Sharon and family:
So sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful husband and father. I shall always remember the interesting chat I had with both of you in your kitchen about Warnock LOL 250 in Caledon Village. At that time Art was one of the two remaining members and it was great to hear his stories. I also enjoyed working with Sharon in the Caledon Fair Ambassador contest. Another great icon of Caledon East gone to meet his maker. Sincere condolences to you and your family

Dear Arts Wife Velma. Daughters Sandra & Sharon and Brother Gordon, Mary and I offer our sincere condolences on the loss of Art, As I Howard was an only child Art was always like a sincere brother to me as he only lived a quarter mile down the road we traveled many miles to-gather in our teen age years.

Dear Velma and family,
Sadly, we’ve lost another “pillar of our community”. Not many “newbies” will remember Art’s Service Station and that he was a great (and honest) mechanic. Art will be missed; our condolences to all.

Brian and I offer our deepest sympathy to Velma, Sandra, Sharon and your families. Brian remembers Art trying to fix a lemon of a Dodge 600 that Brian bought, and Art was so gracious and helped Brian get that thing road worthy! We also remember the pot of coffee that seemed to be on and a cup of it in Art’s hand every time we came up with Sandra! A great dad and grand dad for sure. We send you all big hugs…

To the Brooks family Was deeply saddened to hear of Arts passing. Will miss the friendly smile and wave when passing each other on the roads. He was a very talented man with the wrenches and as honest as they come. Caledon East has lost another true Good Ole Boy. He will be missed by all.
