October 6, 1940 – July 5, 2019
Barbara McLean (nee Wilson), loving wife of Ronald James McLean (deceased 2010), passed away suddenly on July 5, 2019 at her home in Alliston. Barb suffered a minor heart attack on June 25, 2019 and received two stents to recharge her active life. Barb was recovering very well, and was starting to get out-and-about again when suddenly, the second heart attack occurred.
From birth to Fern Avenue Public School, to cheerleader and Prom Queen at Parkdale Collegiate to wife to mom, from Parkdale to Bolton to Alliston, Barb lit up the world with her smile, laugh and all her positive energy; Barb truly touched the heart of everyone she encountered. Barb lived an absolutely full and amazing life, loving Ron and raising three kids, parties and travel, golf and curling, yoga and swimming, concerts and movies, food and “her” wine, PROBUS and Puppets, dinner parties and card games, all while joking and laughing with all her amazing friends.
Barb will be dearly missed and thought of daily by so many people, especially her children Kevin (Rasa), Derek (Lisa) and Michelle (Angelo) and all her grandchildren, Kyara, Maddy, Makana, Sierra, Jack, Saulius and Aaron. Her sister Marilyn (deceased 1946), brother Ted Wilson (deceased 2011), brother-in-law Richard D. McLean, QC of Toronto (Agnes) and nieces and nephews Katherine, Jim, Jeff and Linda, and her “530pm”sister Orlean MacGregor (Don) will also miss Barb greatly.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday morning, July 23 from 10 o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 o’clock followed by a reception at 12 o’clock.
Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

My sincere sympathy to all of you. I “talked” Barb into going with Craigtravel to Ireland last year in June and she became my new “roomie”
Both being widows and fairly outgoing, we got along famously. I got to appreciate and enjoy our time together and was looking forward to her only other travel journey she wanted to take-“a river cruise”
I still cant believe it as she was one of the most busy, energetic, involved in her community people that I know.
May our memories be our continued connection to this wonderful lady.

Michelle, Kevin and Derek,
Our deepest sympathies to you and your families. Memories of those we love live forever in our hearts. May your memories bring you peace and comfort now and always.
