Dear Lloyd and family —— Barb Rank called the other day so distraught – her beloved friend (your wife and mother) had passed so in turn Wayne and I are so very saddened and shocked. Such a lovely lady, always a smile, always time for some auction advice — years and years ago Wayne and I happened to be at the same auction over in Mitchell and watched Barb pay $1,500.00 for a cup and saucer — jaw dropping for us as we were always looking for a bargain. There is a whole community of people out there who knew Barb and Lloyd just a little bit and perhaps won’t see this notice and or be too shy to write —– so on behalf of so many thank you for the smiles and the time you spent teaching us over these 50 years of auction going. We shared your love of beauty and were pleased to call you a friend. Hugs to all Wayne and Carol Martin.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. She was a beautiful soul. I used to help hay and I always looked forward to visiting her at lunch. She always had a smile and a great story to tell me. Not to mention her fabulous cooking. Heaven has gained another Angel. My condolences to the whole family. Cherished and sadly missed. God speed on your journey home Mrs. Cook.

Lloyd, Carolyn, Bryan, Cathy and families –
So sad to hear the news tonight. I’m thankful to have had a great visit in late August to hear about (and see) so many collectibles that Barb was proud of. Especially that Peel plowing match prize pocket watch from the 1930’s.
Also thankful for so many great meals (and the good advice and the laughter) in the summers of ‘83 and ‘84 when I was lucky enough to help out at the farm.
Barb will be greatly missed in the community.

Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have known her since we went to Old Brampton High School together, through 4-H for many years together as a member and as a Leader. I also met her when she was coming out of Peel Memorial bringing home her oldest and I was going in to have my oldest. My condolences to the family.

Carolyn, Don, Bryan, Julie, Cathy, Ian and Lloyd;
So sorry to hear of the loss of Barb. She was a kind person that could talk to anyone, young or old. She was a great cook for one – I can always remember all of those desserts she’d have, sitting on the kitchen counter, when we’d be at 4-H Homemaking meetings. She always had a great smile, but at the same time if something didn’t sit right with her, she’d tell you! Remember all of the good times,
Sorry I can’t make it down, I have grandchildren to take care of. Know our thoughts are with you all.

Saddened to hear of Barb’s passing. Enjoyed our conversations at the auctions and for the past few years our phone calls, always cheerful and happy every time she answered, then she’d switch to the speaker phone with Lloyd where we always seemed to have a few laughs and good discussions. She was an incredible lady who raised an outstanding family and she gave so much to the community. She will be missed. My condolences to Lloyd and the family.
