Our sweet, precious little boy passed away peacefully at home late afternoon on May 20th following a courageous 3 year battle with brain cancer, he was just 5 days short of his 14th birthday. Instead of having a funeral service, we plan to celebrate his life in a special way soon, details will follow. If anyone would like to make a charitable donation, please do so to the Hospital for Sick Kids in Toronto earmarked for the “Barry Fisher Fund.” To make a donation please call the Sick Kids tribute line at 416-813-6166 and press option 3, followed by option 1. Please be sure to tell the operator the donation is to be deposited in the ‘Barry Fisher Fund’. The hospital will pool all donations into a single fund for a memorial plaque to eventually be put up for Barry, which is actually something he had on his Christmas wish list this past year, it will be nice to see his wish come true. While the hospital was unable to stop this terrible disease, they were able to buy us some precious time together, and for that we owe them a great deal of appreciation. All donations will be directed towards brain cancer research in the hope that it will eventually lead to a cure so that no other child and family has to suffer this disease. We are very grateful for all the support and friendship we have received throughout this horrible ordeal, especially over the past few most difficult weeks.
Good Night and Sweet Dreams to our “Best Boy”, Love Mom, Dad and Amy xoxoxo

Cheryll and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I can’t imaging what you must be feeling right now, but my deepest sympathy is with you through this heart wrenching time. Words might not be much comfort to you, but remember that you have friends and family around you for support.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. The obituary in the Enterprise was so moving. We didn’t know Barry or your family, but our daughter has spent a lot of time in the oncolocgy wing of Sick Kids Hospital over the last three years getting treatment for a brain tumour; perhaps we both sat in that waiting room together over the years. We will be making a donation in Barry’s name and will look for his memorial plaque when we are at the hospital. We will be remembering you all in our prayers.
Luci & Paul Pravato (Paul the Painter)
Our hearts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. May God be with all of you, may He strengthen you and comfort you and ease the burden of your grief.
Luci, Paul and family.

Our family has been greatly inspired by Barry’s and your family’s courage and determination through his illness. We have missed Barry and Amy at Pheonix and will miss Barry greatly. Our daughter Kayleigh has decided to dedicate her participation in this weekend’s karate tournament to the memory of Barry. Participants from Pheonix will be wearing arm bands in Barry’s memory.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

Dear Cheryl,
I was thinking of you today and wanted to share my feelings for you. When we hurt sometimes our most sacred tears stay hidden and the heart can’t express all the pain we feel inside. Words often pale in the shadow of our grief and loss, still please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. May you be comforted with the belief that each time we honour another’s memory we meet again with those we love because our hearts never forget. My heart is full of memories of Barry now and forever. I love you.
your friend
Sylvia
