Peacefully with family at her side, Bridget passed away at Avalon Retirement Centre, Orangeville on Friday July 15, 2011 in her 85th year. She will be remembered by her former husband Denis (Paddy) Sexton. Loving mother of Patricia, Jim, Marian, Bridget and her husband Vincent Dieras, Anne, Catherine and her husband Mark Evans and predeceased by her sons Denis, John, and Michael. She is fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Bridget is survived by her brother Kevin and his wife Mae and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Ireland.
Bridget immigrated to Canada from Ireland with her then 6 children via the port of Montreal in 1958. After settling in Toronto, she and her husband Denis then had three more children. She remained an active member of the Catholic Women’s League in the the Richmond Hill area and worked at Texas Instruments for 23 years.
Her family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at the Avalon Retirement Centre for their loving care shown to Bridget over the 10 years she resided there.
The family will receive friends at St. Timothy Catholic Church 42 Dawson Road, Orangeville on Wednesday morning July 20, from 10 o’clock until time of Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Cremation will follow.
