Carl Bertrum Tiveron passed away with his wife Linda (née Edge) of 53 years by his side on January 16, 2023, in his 83rd year, after a brave battle with cancer.
Loving father of Theresa (Alan), and Karen (Glenn), and adoring grandpa to Carl. Older brother of Peter (Pat), Ray (Alan), and Lynne (Gary). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place; private celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Carl was an electrician, working at AP Parts beginning in 1967, and later started his own business – Tiveron Electric and Appliance Service. He was hardworking and had many skills.
Carl’s priority was always family, and he enjoyed swimming with them in the pool, family get togethers, and having a good laugh. He had a big heart, which always had room for animals, and considered their dogs as part of the family.
He also loved to golf and fish; in his younger days he was known to keep a fishing rod in his truck and would fish on his lunch break. When he retired and moved to Maple Leaf, he created his own private golf course on his property. Carl’s pride in his home and garden was evident in how immaculate it looked, and he loved riding around on one of his tractors.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to either the Saint Elizabeth Health’s Gift From the Heart program, with Tatiana Sokolov as the Tribute Name (https://donate.sehc.com/donation-5/a-gift-from-the-heart), or the RVH Keep Life Wild campaign, with the Dedication Type of in honour of Dr. Jacky Lai (https://www.keeplifewild.ca/donate-today/).

Hired Bert to rewire my home in 1997-98. It was just up the road from his place. Man was a genius, and scrupulously honest. My sympathies to the family.

I’m so sorry about uncle Carl. I have many fond memories of Carl and the family at grandpa and grandma’s place. An Export in his hand, a fun smile and some good ribbing towards his sisters were usually on the table at most gatherings. To this day if someone says “kapeesh” I can only think of one person. Linda and family you are in our thoughts. Take care.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Carl always had time to talk, and he loved doing just that. We all will miss his super smile that would very often turn into his silly smirk. Take care of you Linda. Love, Marg

Carol and I are privileged to have known Carl and Linda for most of our adult lives. I enjoyed many golf days with Carl and my uncle Denver, while Linda was probably visiting with my Aunt Donna and Carol. We were always made to feel welcome and always enjoyed our visits. We hope the many memories you have of Carl and can share with each other will bring you comfort at this time.

My condolences to Linda, who I just met a couple of years ago. May your memories of 53 years be the best ones! Carl would come shopping, pretty much every Thursday, find me and ask me “in what aisle is this”. He said it was easier this way. He would go find his items, come back and together we would fight with the stubborn MasterCard that would hardly ever work. Thursdays were fun. If Cheryl came, he wouldn’t bother me. Hands down to Cheryl (the only child I knew) for everything you did.
Carolyn and David ApSimon
Carl will be remembered in our head and heart forever. A bright light has gone from our lives but has left us with happy memories of times shared. Rest in peace Carl.

I was sorry to hear of Uncle Carl’s illness, and death. I have been trying to reach out via Facebook for the last several years. I have fond memories of Carl and his hot mustang! I now drive an old mustang rag top, and credit Uncle Carl with my long time love for that vehicle. I moved to the West coast 40 years ago and lost touch with everyone. I am now in Cranbrook B.C. in the East Kootenays. Patti sent me the obit, and I just wanted to send my love and let you know I was thinking about Linda and the family. Patti doesn’t have a computer, so my email is attached.
