Joan passed with family by her side on January 29, 2017, at Bethell Hospice. Joan leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Bob, and her four children Bill (Keitha), Jim (Nancy), Gwen, and Glen (Debbie). She is affectionately remembered by her eight grandchildren, Nicole and Christine Davis; Ashley and Lindsay Davis; Dawn and Denise Gardhouse; Kyle and Duane Davis, as well as her six great-grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Viola and Herbert Watson. Joan took great pleasure in playing euchre with her friends and grandchildren, enjoyed her time at aqua fit and always loved spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gagnon for his support and for the kindness he showed to Joan and her family. A special and heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff and volunteers at Bethell Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that was provided to Joan and for the support that was given to our family; there is a loving place in our hearts for you.
Friends will be received at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Wednesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning, February 2 at 11 o’clock. Following a reception at the funeral home, interment will take place at the Caledon East Cemetery.

Bob and family,
I wish to send my sincere condolences to you and your family in the loss of Joan. I have a few special memories as a child stopping by with Cherie Maguire (uninvited) and Joan graciously inviting us in for cookies and a drink. It made me feel so special. Though many years have passed since I have seen Joan, I will always remember her as a kind, sweet person.
I know you and your family will miss her presence in your lives. May your memories be held tenderly within your hearts to help ease the deep sorrow and pain with the passing of Joan.
With my thoughts and prayers for you all now and in the coming weeks and months as you grieve the loss of Joan who will always remain cherished by you.
