I’m deeply saddened to hear of the loss our colleague and friend!! My heart is in pain for Clarence’s family! I pray that God in his love will give you the strength to carry on and smile again! Even though he’s gone to sleep we’ll never forget him! Everytime I hear the sound of a drum set or an electric guitar, I know I’ll think of Clarence! Also, I loved to hear his deep resounding strong voice especially when he would speak in our assemblies! Gone to sleep Clarence, but never will be forgotten!!

I’m so sorry to hear about this, more then I can express. You don’t know me, but I knew Clarence from school. He was one of the few who was nice to me and was always making me laugh when I was too shy to talk to anyone. I’ve always remembered him for his kindness and his sense of humour. What a great guy! My heart and prayers go out to you.
Cheryl
There are virtually no words to express the terrible loss to this world Clarence leaves. The joy, the laughter, the incredible kindness he possessed cannot be matched in this world, nor the next. To Shelley and the girls I hope and pray that you eventually just remember the happy times- the incredible husband you chose to share your life with, the amazing father that touched your lives. Keep the booming laugh he gave the world always in your hearts, to retrieve whenever you need to remember the man we all loved.

Clarence I only got to teach with you a few years and it was the most fun and positive years I had working. You were the moat caring teacher I knew. You Always took the time to help out any student ESPECIALLY those less privileged troubled students who nobody else had the time for!! It is no wonder you are so popular. Peel District School Board has lost one of its best. My heart felt condolences goes out to your family my friend. RIP Clarence.

I met Clarence and his family through St. James United Church. We were thrilled to have them as part of our congregation. Clarence was such a kind man and I, personally, loved his optimism, his love of his family.
I, and I am sure am not alone, missed them when they moved on.
Out of sight, but, not out of mind, thanks to Karen Forgrave.

Shelley, Bridget and Nora,
I am so sorry for your loss. Clarence taught Art to my Kindergarten and Grade One classes. I was always so surprised at how fast he could get the attention of my whole class with his deep voice – much faster than I could! He often told them stories about his “little girls,” which really peeked their curiosity once he told them your ages. He will forever be in our hearts at Dunrankin.
Brad Wilson
Dear Shelley ,Bridget,Nora and family and friends of Clarence,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I had no idea he had been ill until I received the sad news last night. Clarence will be remembered well along with all the memories of all the great times we had so many years ago at the Reid cottage, not least of all his ability with his baritone voice to complete our ensemble in performing the Jungle Song anywhere and anytime we could. One of the nicest guys I’ve ever known and I’m sorry we lost touch for so long.
Oh weem-o-way, Oh weem-o-way…
Sending you all my positive thoughts and love,
Brad

Dear Shelly, Bridget, and Nora,
Although I only worked with your husband and father for a short time at Dunrankin, he made an everlasting impression on me and on my future career as a teacher. I was fortunate enough to work with him last spring as he taught Phys ed to my grade 3 girls class. I also was fortunate enough to spend our open house evening with him and Isaak. You don’t know me but Clarence talked so highly of all three of you very often. I specifically remember a conversation we had last spring about how much he cherished his wife and your relationship.
You two must’ve had a great love that will live on forever. Truly a tragic loss and I myself was deeply saddened. I hope you read this and know that your entire family will stay in my mind and prayers for a long time.
My most heart-felt condolences
Christine

Mr. Squires will be deeply missed by our family. Although 7 years have passed since he taught our daughter in grade 1 and 2, he affected us in such a positive and thoughtful way. His confident and caring manner ensured us that our daughter would be taken care of during a difficult transition time. We will always be grateful to have known him. Thank you.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all who were touched by his presence, especially his family.
