Lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty nine years, Margaret (nee Smele). Adored father of Meghan (1984), Andrew (1987) and Evelyn (1989). Cherished brother of Craig and his wife Kathy.
Forever remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Lis, Dave and Anne and John and Lesley. Treasured uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Colin was born in Toronto but spent his early years in Whittier, California. The family moved to Rexdale in 1963. He and his brother shared a passion for motorcycles. Over the years there were many escapades with our fellow motorcycling enthusiasts.
Colin met Margaret in 1973 and married in 1978. In the early days they spent their time on motorcycle road trips across the country. In more recent times, they shared some memorable vacations to Barbados, Dominican Republic, Mexico and a few cruises.
In more recent years Colin became an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time at the cottage. He and his hunting buddies thoroughly enjoyed their time together, sharing laughs and stories.
The last four years of Colin’s life contained many medical issues. He was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and Congenital Heart Failure. This led to a heart transplant on April 28, 2017. Unfortunately, there were too many complications for him to overcome.
A small celebration of life was held August 26, 2017 at Egan Funeral Home, Bolton. If desired, donations may be made to Peter Munk Cardiac Care, Toronto General Hospital at www.tgwhf.ca. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
