Sad, yet grateful to have met again so recently, no matter how short. A great man has left us better for knowing him. Always an easy conversation from the serious to a good laugh. Calm and strong, hardly wavering over time or events or distance. Phone calls started without introduction no matter the time that might have passed :)). Miss you forever, uncle.

Curtis was the living definition of a gentleman.
He was also my dad’s good friend (one of the five you could count on your hand), his confidant, a committee partner and always up to join in a bit of fun with him. Most of all, Curtis helped to keep his spirits up when life got tough. A true friend.
You will be missed.
Love from all of us,

Dear Laurie and your families. Bill and I were so saddened to hear about Curt’s passing. We had such a good conversation with he and our cousin Peggy at Glenn’s funeral. The past few weeks have been a difficult time for all of us but it was so good to see and speak to so many family members. Our thoughts are with all of you,

Such a charming man. Many fond memories of chats with Mr. Johnson in Palgrave and the Cayman Islands. I’m sure his family will miss him very much.
