My condolences to the family of Dan Early. I very much enjoyed working with Dan at the Town of Caledon and as a resident, appreciated his ready assistance when patronizing the facilities he worked in. Dan was consistently polite, friendly, calm, and despite his stature, he was a very gentle man. He will be sadly missed by the community he so loved and all who knew him.

I am very saddened by the loss of Bill. He was a Great Man, a Gentle Giant, a Wonderful Friend, a Pillar of Strength, and a Wonderful Contributor to the Village of Inglewood where he Grew up and lived his life. He was that Big Strong Oak Tree that had his roots planted firmly in the ground and everyone loved. He left an impression where ever he went and for those who were lucky enough to have known him, he was a calming soul who made you just feel happy to be near him. I knew Bill since Grade 1 and it was an honour to have known this wonderful man and to have had the privilege to have his friendship. Thank you Bill, for making our lives brighter, thank you for your kindness, thank you for being You and thank you for making us see that there are wonderful Angels in this world…because you were and are an Angel that was sent to us. You touched all our lives and always made things seem better with that Fantastic Smile of yours. You will always be in my fondest of memories.

Sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. Fond memories of him at Mayfield. His lumbering frame coming at you in a football uniform. His roll in Guys & Dolls as a gangster. Time slips by fast as the last time I talked to him was in 94 at the Mayfield reunion at the arena. Jim & the rest of the family take care.

Dan Early will be missed by the Inglewood and Caledon community & very fondly remembered forever as a kind, considerate, nice guy.
Hundreds of kids will remember Dan as a big guy who got their respect by talking tough “to keep them in line” and then smile at their actions cause they were just being kids.
Our teenage daughters have figure skated at the Inglewood arena for 8 years . They both appreciated Dan’s gentle demeaner & genuine caring for people. My wife Bente as a board member and volunteer of The Caledon Cenntenial Skating Club always appreciated Dan’s willingness to accommade their needs. She says ” you could always count on Dan” , he will be missed by so many people.
Dan and I have known each other for over 40 years and I’m surprised to only now hear him referred to as Bill.
Our condolances to his family on the loss of a great guy.
