My dear Gane family,
25 years we lived across the road from each other. Ours was a friendship that kept on growing and I am so grateful for that. If ‘salt of the earth’ ever described anyone it was Diane Gane; no pretensions at all, just good honest caring. Diane was so proud of her family and with good reason. My thoughts, deepest sympathy, and love are with you all. Ferne

Dear Dave, Diane, Erin and Jessica,
We are sorry the day has come for you to have to say good-bye to seeing your Mother, Mother-in-law and dear Grandmother. One of my fondest memories of Diane was at your home in Morgan Creek about 6 years ago. Diane and Anna were sitting in the living room crocheting when Wolfgang and I arrived for a visit. Wolfgang ran in from the cold, and jumped on these two senior ladies with all the exuberance of a 6 year old. I shrieked, concerned that he may hurt them. On the contrary, Diane laughed out loud, gave Wolfie a nuzzle, and then she and Anna pinched his cheeks, encouraging him to share his fresh youthfulness with them. It’s a wonderful memory I have of these ladies, happily chatting on the couch, teaching us how to be great Grandmas. Please share our heartfelt wishes with Ken and we wish your whole family a good measure of peace. Love from Mary Lou, Stephanie, Lily, Wolfgang, and Phoenix xxxxxooooo

Dear David Leslie & Allan,
Your mother will always be in our thoughts and prayers. i just want to share a memory with your family today as we honour her and say our goodbyes to Diane.
Diane had a big impact on our family.
Many times in my early gradeschool and highschool days i would come home for lunch in Bramalea. When i turned the corner to my street i would see this beautiful Brown sparlking polished Monte Carlo on our driveway.
As i came in i could hear loud laughter coming from the house, I was greeted by her with big hugs and high fives and kisses. She was always dressed to the nines. My mother would be cooking and my dad sitting at the kitchen table just getting up from night shift. Even though there was differnce in culture and language between the two families your mother made the conversations very easy for them. She would bring this vibe into the house that is hard to explain. All i know is that when i went back to school that i was glad she came to visit my mom and dad.
And when she would be leaving and getting into the Monte Carlo in her beautiful white dress and big smile, i can still remember my dad and uncle Zvonko would say “God Dam now that’s a lady.:
Will miss you Diane, rest in peace.
Love Milan & Brett
