She was my girl buddy from when we were in residential school in Spanish when we were in our early teens. Though she was only just a year older than me, she took care of me when we were there. Talking to me about what my mother would have talked to me about. My mother passed away when I was 9 years old. We were inseparable back in those days. We kept in touch our whole lives. I will miss my buddy. Rest in peace Dianne. She always spelled her name like that, with 2 n’s.

We loved you, Auntie Dianne! You will be dearly missed, your beautiful smile and sparkling personality lit up the room. We laughed until our bellies ached, we ate until we could eat a bite more. We were always glad to see you and be wrapped up in your wonderful hugs. You were a blessing beyond measure in our lives! Until we meet again. <3 <3 <3 With Love, Nadine Labelle and Family
