It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianna Marie Foster (née Brace) on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Dianna peacefully departed this world, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Dianna was born on January 3, 1963 to her loving parents, Rose and the late Willis. She grew up in a close-knit family and shared a special bond with her siblings. Dianna was the beloved sister of David (Margaret), Barry (Nicole), Brian (Michelle), Darlene (Gerald), and the late Stephen. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
On October 9, 1982 Dianna embarked on a journey of love and commitment when she married her devoted husband, Preston Foster. Together they celebrated 41 remarkable years of marriage, marked by unwavering love, trust, and companionship. Their bond was an example for all, inspiring others with the power of a lifelong partnership.
Dianna was an exceptional mother to her two daughters, Nicole (Frank) and Kaitlin. She embraced her role with grace, devotion, and unconditional love. She took great pride in watching her daughters grow into strong, independent women, and her unwavering support and guidance shaped their lives. Dianna’s greatest joy came with the arrival of her granddaughter, Norah, who brought immeasurable happiness and light into her life.
Family meant everything to Dianna, and she was a pillar of strength and love. Her warm and inviting home was a gathering place for family and friends, where she would welcome everyone with open arms, ensuring they left with full bellies and joyful memories. Dianna’s culinary talents were legendary, and her delicious meals brought people together, creating lasting connections and treasured moments.
Dianna had a passion for flowers, and they held a special place in her heart. She found solace and beauty in their delicate petals and vibrant colours. In honour of her wishes, let us surround Dianna with an abundance of flowers, symbolizing the love, joy, and beauty she brought into the lives of those around her.
Dianna Foster’s presence will be greatly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will be cherished for generations to come. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the impact she had on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Growing up with Dee in my life was an honour. Her birthday is 2 weeks ahead of mine and we would always call each other to give good wishes on our days. When my mum had her stroke, Dee would come over and help me with the housework and do my mums hair . Mum loved seeing Dee very much and missed her when she couldn’t come over.
My deepest condolences to Preston and the whole family. This is a huge family surrounded by so much love and Dee will be missed.
Rest well Dee, I’ll cherish the memories we made. ❤️

Dear sweet Dianna, for whom I have many fun and fond memories.
We worked together for many years at GMAC/Ally. She was part of my work family on a daily basis. We shared a lot in common, and confided in each other. I enjoyed hearing about Nicole and Katlin growing up over the years and I shared my Ryan’s tales with her.
Rest in peace. You will be missed by so many.

My heart goes out to Dianna’s family. I am one of her many cousins. Although we moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia when I was only 6, I still remember spending time at their home. Playing and also remember the house smelling yummy with the meal that was being prepared for us. We were only six months apart in age.
Sending my love and support to you all! Rest easy Dianna❤️.

Her home was always filled with warmth, hospitality and love if you needed it. Also a glass of wine or two to enjoy with her as well. Conversations with her were interesting, entertaining and always “how are you doing” her genuine concern of making sure everything was going alright with you. Her wonderful recipes were made with love and you could tell that with every bite. She made the best scrambled eggs, lemon chicken cutlets and her famous taco salad. Aunt Diana lived for not only for her family but all her family. Trips and partys she would organize and plan to make sure everyone got together and had a great time. She went out of her way to alway acomadete everyone else. Aunt Diana was a lady full of grace and faith and will always be remembered as such.
She will be deeply missed
my condolences to Uncle Preston, Nicole and Katie.

Preston and Dianna’s love story -one for the history books; with two beautiful girls and a beautiful granddaughter .
I remember Dianna and Darlene summer holidays-visits to Cape Breton when we all so much younger and our visits to Toronto.
As a child, my memories with Dianna and Preston are absolutely precious. Even at young age seeing these two together, I absolutely adored them. They both showed so much kindness and love.
Dianna, you will be missed by everyone you touched by your amazing smile. Your beautiful legacy that will never fade away. Thank you for being in our lives…
Isaiah 41:10 KJV – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

This morning, as I was letting my dog outside, a song came on the radio “Kiss me” by SPNTR
which brought me to my delightful memories of working with Dianna at GMAC, she used to tell me stories of her family, funny and nice stories, this one was of how she would ask her older daughter, Nicole, to play this song for her on her guitar…I always think of this when I hear this song. Keep playing Nicole…
Upon opening my FB I come across the memory of Dianna Marie Fosters obituary, what sadness to hear of her passing….
Many happier memories at GMAC/Ally was the time I got to spend working with this hilarious woman, I will miss you Dianna……
My condolences to Preston, Nicole and Kaitlin
