Lois and I are sorry we could not attend the funeral for Doreen due to our positive tests for Covid.
We are truly sorry for Carol Blackmore and family and the Cunningham family’s loss. We have know Doreen for over 40 years when she was married to Ewart Copeland and lived on the farm north east of Bolton.
She was a kind and gentle soul who sold eggs at that time. She trusted Christ as her Saviour in her youth. She realised that Christ died for her sins on the cross and she experienced the forgiveness of all her sins.
Doreen would place a gospel tract inside every carton of eggs and sell them to her neighbours. Her love for people enabled four of her neighbours from the Wilson family to hear the gospel and also trust Christ as their Saviour.
Dear Doreen is in heaven and is very far better now. She is enjoying Her Lord’s presence now and has entered into her rest. I look forward to see her there shortly.
Jesus said in John 8:24 to us that remain, That ye shall die in your sins, for if ye believe not that I am, ye shall die in your sins. In verse 21, Jesus warns that if one dies in their sins, where He is in heaven, that person cannot come. Doreen had experienced forgiveness for all her sin, so we know she is in heaven.
Therefore we don’t sorrow as those who have no hope, because we know all is well for eternity for Doreen.
Joan
Loving soul
