I remember the Dobson’s with fond memories for it was from their father that we purchased our 3 acres on the 5th line Albion. My sister and I visited your farm many times and I remember a time Doreen and Kathleen visited their property and I watched over Kathleen’s youngest. We had a picnic by the river. May you too cherish your memories and find peace and comfort from the love of your friends and family. Bonnie Leslie (Beckett)

I met Doreen many years ago when she was a new volunteer with Caledon Meals on Wheels and I was the Executive Director. Over those many years, Doreen became a very valued volunteer and also a very dear friend. Doreen was always willing to help in any way and deeply cared about the clients, other fellow volunteers, her church and anyone in her community that needed a helping hand. She was a very dear, sweet lady and it was truly an honour to have known her. My sincere condolences to all her family – I hope your memories of this lovely lady will bring you comfort in the days to come. Carol Kidd

My sincerest condolences to Doreen’s family and friends. While heaven has an angel returned, we are left to mourn our loss until we are reunited once more. Doreen was a strong, wise and faithful person with a kind, loving heart. Though I have only know her for brief part of her life, it was truly wonderful having her as a friend. May you find solace knowing she is where she longed to be, in God’s loving arms and no longer in pain. She lives on in our wonderful memories of her. May you mourn your loss but celebrate her life. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear of Doreen’s death. Although we live close by our paths really only crossed when we met at the gym in Inglewood. I was always amazed by her grit and determination. Watching her do the spin classes was simply amazing. Her big smile and cheery greeting were always a happy positive start to the day

No matter how long we have our Mothers and grandmothers, we are never prepared to let them go. It is always too soon. They play such an important role in our lives, no matter the age.
I first met Doreen when I was attending Claude church and she was always welcoming and cheerful and very friendly and that lovely smile was always there.
She was a very active person and involved with her church, Meals on Wheels as well as other activities in her community.
She will surely be missed in the community.
God Bless you and your family

Sorry to hear about the passing of Doreen. During my years as Principal of Mayfield, Doreen was a key staff member. She was a big part of our Regional Arts program and one of the reasons that the program was so successful. I remember Doreen as a hard working, accommodating staff member. Doreen spoke of her family often and was very proud of them. We are very sorry that we cannot be with you on Thursday.

Sending our sympathies, thoughts & prayers to Doreen’s family. We enjoyed your Mom’s emails, with proud photos of church gatherings, family photos, Christmas greetings, and certainly when we gathered for the Evangel Hall Dinners, it was wonderful to have a nice chat with her and one of the girls. Your Mom will be missed by so many, she was a true spirit to Claude Church & the community. May you each find comfort and strength, in each passing day, and all your memories will stay close to your hearts forever.
Yours Truly, Brenda & Rob Kavanagh, Orangeville
