I first met Dorothy approximately 4 years ago during her stay at Sherwood Court. I have been conducting hymn-sings once a month at Sherwood and Dorothy could always be counted on to sing prayerfully and with a strong voice.
Dorothy always had an “impish” grin when she would first see me and it wasn’t long before we both realized that we had a mutual friend, Joan Jackaman, formerly of Nobleton. We also found out that we both loved Joan’s Christmas fruit cake, and I would bring slices of fruitcake in to Dorothy to enjoy with her cup of tea.
I had missed Dorothy this last month (April) and am sorry that I did not go to her room to see her personally. I shall miss that smile of hers and the connection we both have with King Township.
Sincerely,
