On Sunday, July 24th at Bethell Hospice in Caledon, Dr. Thomas Gerald Davies passed peacefully at the age of 95. He leaves behind his cherished wife Carol, his devoted children Lisa with her husband Greg and Heather with her husband Bruce, as well as his treasured grandchildren Nathan, Kaeli, Jack, Maggie and Abigail. Tom was the beloved brother of Norm (Michaela) and Phyllis (Bernard) and was predeceased by Jack (Margaret), Rita (Henry) and Margaret (Ken). He will be remembered with much love by many nieces and nephews. His friends and neighbours will also miss this kind, gentle soul.
Tom was well known for his quick wit and humour, his love of poetry and sport, his complete gratitude for all of life’s blessings and his ability to share these with all whom he encountered.
The funeral service will be held at St. Cornelius Church on Wednesday, August 3rd at 11 o’clock followed by cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Bethell Hospice would be greatly appreciated https://bethellhospice.org/

MY SMILE WILL FOLLOW
Good morning to all from the clouds up high
My time has come to fly in the sky
I’ve always had that habit of keeping myself young
Whether it was pickle ball or walks that were long
I now pass on all those DIY fix it tips to you younger folk
Because I’ll be too busy laughing at and telling jokes
I had a special life as I watched you all grow
You need not look far for me because.
MY SMILE WILL FOLLOW

Our condolences to Carol and the rest of Tom’s family. We will miss seeing Tom outside with a walker, strolling around our little neighbourhood with Carol. He would smile and have a twinkle in his eye whenever he challenged Maria to a race using their walkers when we all happened to be outside at the same time. He had a good sense of humour! May Tom rest in peace, and may Christ’s perpetual light shine upon him.
