We were sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. When our family moved to Caledon in 1972 Tom was one of the first farmers that I met. I came to see him about an item that was for sale in the paper. I found him to be a very kind and friendly person who was very knowledgeable about farming.

Dear Edith:
I was so sorry to read in the Toronto Star that Tom had passed away.
I don’t know whether you remember me. I am Betty (Pickering) Martland. We roomed together at the Westlake’s on Broadview Avenue when we were at teacher’s college.
I remember you talking about Tom. I think he sometimes drove you back to Toronto on Sunday night.
I know you will miss Tom but I am sure that you have many wonderful memories of him.
Love, Betty

I’m sorry to hear about Tom’s passing. I met Tom about 3 years ago both of us were going through heart rehab at Brampton hospital and we got to talking when I realized I had coached 2 of his Grandsons in hockey Kyle and Grant. Once Tom found out about this we talked every class about how the boys were doing and he always wanted to know how my boys did after a game. i used to get in trouble from the instructer because I would slow down just to walk with him and talk about family, he was a great man and loved his family and friends with all his heart.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Carberry family
