Nancy was a very special lady. Worked with Nancy at Nortel for 16 yrs. She was a very kind lady. When my mother in law was sick in the hospital back in 2017 she would sit there with her and keep her company. We will honour Nancy at are Nortel Reunion this upcoming Sunday. Sending hugs to the family. Very sorry for your loss. Nancy will be missed by everyone she had contact with. RIP NANCY. ❤️

Marie. Very saddened to hear of Moms passing. Nancy was certainly her own person. If she had thoughts or opinions on something she didnt tread lightly or tiptoe. Right down to the bumper sticker ” horn broke watch for finger”. She always asked about the family and when Dad was sick she would occasionally call the house for an update to share with the Nortel Family. During covid when Dad passed and funeral restrictions were tight, she showed up at the cemetery and stood back but still attended. To our family that was an immeasureable act of kindness. Class isnt measured by the fancy car you drive or the expensive clothes you wear. Its genuine acts of kindness, warmth and compassion toward others. Nancy was definately a class act. Heaven has gained an angel…with a devilish grin.
Love you Marie

I remember as a child and young boy, Nancy coming into Burrell’s store to see my dad or uncle, or Madeline Norrie.
That was 40 + years ago. In my 20’s I can remember her at the town dances, the turkey rolls, and the occasional beer tent at the ball park. I remember her sitting on the porch on Airport Road. In the last 10 years or so I saw Nancy often at the Cemetery at various funerals of family and friends. She always said hello, had a comment or two, and asked how my dad was doing.
In my mind, over time, she never changed. Always blunt, to the point, and without reserve. I liked that.
Another staple of “old” Caledon East has left us. I’ll miss seeing her around.
My condolences Marie.

Deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mother.
I have never met you, but your Mom often talked about you.
I’m a neighbour in Caledon East and have known your Mom a very long time. She was a very nice lady, she always made time to stop and say hello. I fondly remember her conversations from her porch on Airport Road … no one ever messed with her, she made sure of that. A fun lady and Caledon East will miss her … RIP Nancy
