Edna Jean Craig (nee) Hutchinson born February 12, 1932, passed away peacefully September 14, 2021 surrounded by her family. Dear wife of Stanley Craig, Caledon, they had just recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Loving mother of Allan and Karen, Warren and Maureen, and Rick and Vicki. Dear grandmother of Mark, Lesley, Jackie, Kelly, Breanna, and Connor, and a beloved great grandmother. Edna loved to bake tea biscuits and buns which will be greatly missed by her family. She was a dedicated member of St. James Anglican Church and canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 25 years. While her greatest treasure was caring for her grandchildren, she also enjoyed bowling with the ladies. A tremendous thank you to her doctor and all the nurses and PSWs who helped care for her over these past few years. A special thanks to the staff at Bethell Hospice for all the care she was given in her final days. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Edna made us all laugh many times throughout the years, she had quite the sense of humour.
Graveside service will be held at Providence Cemetery, 14272 Innis Lake Road, Caledon (west side of Innis Lake Road, North of King Road and South of Old Church Road) on Saturday, September 18 at 3 o’clock.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethell Hospice in Inglewood would be appreciated. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Every spring Edna would visit us as a volunteer for the Cancer Society. We always enjoyed her visits and appreciated her generous spirit. We also enjoyed our time with her at St. James church. She & Stan were very kind & supportive members of our parish and she will be missed dearly by everyone at our church.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you say good bye to this lovely lady.
Sincere condolences to you all.

Dear Uncle Stanley and family
I extend my sincere sympathy.
Greatly enjoying writing letters and sending cards to Aunt Edna over the years. It was my pleasure to communicate with her that way. She would call me at home and at work and would we chat it up and giggle up a storm on a regular basis!
An aunt she was, but she was also a loving, supportive and cheerful friend through my health concerns in the recent past.
I plan to attend the service for Aunt Edna on Saturday to celebrate & honour her life and to say a quiet, peaceful farewell.
God’s blessings,
Love Faye

Edna had a great sense of humour, and always a positive word and twinkle in her eye when we would chat after church. I am in awe of that generation of farm/country women and the work they did to support their families, community and churches.
St. James has been missing Edna and Stan since they became housebound, keeping them in our thoughts and prayers. We draw that circle wider now to include her family.
With great sympathy, Diane Allengame

To Stanley and family,
I share my deepest condolences with you–belated, I know. I was that little blond waif who lived across the road amidst the apple orchards, the one who built hay forts in your barn, and helped pick stones from your field. Alan was in my class from grades 1-6, and an occasional playmate. I remember how kind Edna was: she fed me tuna and ketchup sandwiches, and watched me from time to time. It was nice to see her photo again. I found you on a search for your family, wondering what had become of you all. Please send me a note; I will be sure to respond.
