My prayers and thoughts go out to Lidia and the family. Ed was part of the “Goody” family for years and even after he retired he would come to visit us when he could. He always had a smile to share with us. RIP Ed you will be greatly missed.

Dear Lidia, You and Edward …AKA Robert…..came into my life as perfect strangers. You filled every visit with smiles and encouragement even though I was there to provide support as a PSW. It was both an honour and a pleasure to be welcomed into your home and made to feel like a friend from the very first time I met you both. It is with a heavy heart that I send this message. Being there for you and your family when you and Edward needed us most will be a special memory that I will hold dear in my heart. My heart was also warmed when I met your daughter Sara and her beautiful family. Even before meeting them I felt like I had known them for ever. You and Edward talked so fondly of the unconditional love and support that surrounded you. As a mother of grown children, I was so touched to see how your granddaughters lit up the room when they were at your home as you and Edward found so much pleasure in their company. And in Edwards final days when Connor was there by your side only leaving to get his Nona a hot meal and a coffee providing the support that his mother and father and sisters would have been so touched to see was a absolute pleasure for me to have experienced. When you met my mother and you both immediately embraced I was once again touched by the kindness you love to give and receive and I hope that you will forever find comfort and joy in your new found friendship. All my love Cheryl
