Our family extends our condolences to Elizabeth and Chris, their children and grandchildren and the many people who were fortunate to be a part of Aunt Eleanor’s life. Her kind, gracious manner welcomed us all and her intelligence and humour shone through our conversations and emails. This included the time I can first recall meeting her, Uncle Jan and Elizabeth in Trenton to many subsequent occasions in Haliburton, Apsley, Toronto, Caledon East and Orangeville and being able to host her in Victoria a few times. We loved her dearly and shall miss her in our lives.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. She was always so easy to talk too and fun to visit. Every time I make lemon bread, I will think of her. She has left a great void in the Dixon
clan. I shall miss her tremendously.
Love, Karline

Our thoughts are with all of you. The world lost one of the most wonderful and amazing woman I have EVER had the privilege of knowing and spending time with. It is difficult to find words that can describe the wonderful woman that my Great Aunt was…… she was full of life and humour and brought a smile to face with her wit and charm. She always had a kind word, amazing insight and a great sense of humour. Spending time with her was always a treat. She lived her life to the fullest and we will miss her. She truly was a shining light- knowing that she is reunited with many loved ones makes it easier even though we are missing her.
Loving you always Aunt Eleanor ♥

I would very much like to get in touch with my cousin Elizabeth Parkinson Augusteijn. I have found some letters from her deceased father and hope to be able to hand them over to her in this way. If you could forward my email address to her I would be very grateful.
best regards,
Irene Augusteijn
