Passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Reuniting with her late husband Domenico D’Orazio.
Ester was born October 5, 1942, in Sora, Italy to her late parents, Livio and Giuseppina Grossi (Née) Palombo.
While living in France, Ester met Domenico of Isola del Liri, Italy. They married in France on October 5, 1968, spending their time immersed in the French culture, working and travelling. In July of 1976 Ester and Domenico decided to move to Canada. What was supposed to be a short term move, ended up becoming their forever home, and they were granted Canadian Citizenship on December 14, 1981.
Ester is survived by her siblings Teresa (Loretto) and Enzo (Liliana)
Her son David (Chantelle) and her adoring granddaughters Gabriella and Alessia
nieces Franca (Fabio) and Patricia (Bruno)
nephews Ivo and Francesco
Ester will be lovingly remembered by family and friends across Canada, Italy, France and The United States.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Monday, April 15 from 6 – 8 o’clock, and on Tuesday morning, April 16 from 9 o’clock until the time of funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 10 o’clock. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Woodbridge.
