Dear Gowlands,
The deepest of condolences from the Morden/Bulowski clan.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Gowland are near and dear to the hearts of the wide circle of friends that surrounded Glen, Rhonda and Arlene. They were always welcoming to us, opening their home and cottage to the diverse group of friends, no matter the number or the ruckus. Mrs. Gowland was an extremely kind and patient woman keenly listening to our lives and supporting us throughout our journeys. They raised fantastic people and have a bevy of grandchildren and great grandchildren to continue their legacy.
Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Arlene & Glen,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. I knew she was not feeling well lately but surprised nonetheless. I have many fond memories of Aunt Evalyn and she will be missed. When we would visit, she always seemed to be so calm, even when all of us were making a cacophony – she seemingly was always above the fray. This is something I thought about a lot and try to emulate.
Take care and our thoughts are with you.

Evalyn and I were not only sisters-in-law, we became friends almost as soon as we met some fifty-seven years ago.
We shared our joys and our sorrows, and spent a great deal of time together with our children before we moved to Alberta.
Bill and I have fond memories of attending Saturday night dances at Innis Lake in the summer, and in Brampton in the winter, along with other members of the Gowland and Westlake families.
Bruce and Evalyn were attendants at our wedding, as we were at their’s.
Evalyn and I shared a love of fine china, and went to several antique shows where we indulged that passion.
Evalyn was intelligent, family-oriented, and kind, with a well-developed sense of decorum, She was business-minded, analytical, and held strong convictions. She had a great sense of humour.
In the midst of almost unbearable grief, she maintained her dignity and her faith.
Although our communications had necessarily become limited in the last while, I continued to think of her as my very dear friend.
Rest in peace dear lady,
Bill and Carolin Gowland
