Met Red at a Nascar race in Michigan back in 2007 where his son Dave, and my son Sean arranged a Father/Son race weekend. It was something we all cherished and looked forward to every June (reliving our youth). Lots of laughs and Red and I always stayed in touch after meeting, including a couple of rides on the bikes. Our thoughts are with your family as we send you off on your ride.
We met in the hospital Redman 40 some years ago, you with the nose, me with the kidney, who would have guessed it was the start of all the memories and great times and a friendship like no other.
Wonderful golf, terrific rides, fantastic golf vacations and a world full of light and laughter.
So glad we did the afternoon together before you headed back to Canada.
Enjoy your rest now my friend I will miss you.

Red…..WE had some great times with the twin Green 72 Corvette LT1’s. You were a great competitor. We had some great road trips. You, always a gentleman, humble, unassuming, just a “regular guy” (Which you never were…)
I told you to never give up, you fought a hard, hard battle. Never asking for an inch, just wanting to be able to give your best when it was needed…..
You taught me a “great life lesson” and I’m thankful for what you did…..I will remember you for that, your always effervescent smile and so many memories.
To Theresa, the girls, and the boys, he was a great husband and he was great father. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Lloyd and Cathy Monteith
I will miss the phone message “Hi Lloydie – it’s the REDMAN” – I have many memories from Red dating back 1978 but probably the best was on our trip to Tennessee with David’s truck and trailer to drag home my ’34 Ford hot rod. We tried to “out best” each other with (mostly awful) jokes for the better part of four days… and we convinced each other that we hadn’t repeated any of them! I’ll remember that trip and all of our other memories forever.
Red had no acquaintances; everyone he knew was a friend. I’m lucky to have been one of them.
RIP my friend.
Lloyd and Cathy
