Pat passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at age 88, after a period of declining health. Beloved husband of the late Irene (Rene) Clifford. Loving father of Janet (Laurie), Tracy (Mick) and Rory (Darlene). Grandfather of Myles, Joel, Zachary, Zoe, Ella, Imogen, Maeve, Cassidy, Bryce and Peyton. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Rosetta, and nine older siblings.
Pat retired from owning and operating a successful commercial flooring business for over forty years. Pat also liked to give back to the community as a long time member of the Palgrave Rotary club.
Pat delighted in spending time with his family and with close friends, especially the weekly breakfast meet ups. He will be sadly missed by so many relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Vera Davis Centre, his home for the past year and half, and the caregivers and doctors who have been excellent at tending to his needs.
Due to current restrictions, a private family interment will be held at Morningside Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Ross and I enjoyed Pat and his late wife Rene. They were both involved and active in the Palgrave Rotary Club for many years. Pat was always positive and friendly and enjoyed conversing with others. He took great pride in being the driving force behind the club sponsoring over a dozen seeing eye dogs He will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness to hear of Pat’s passing.
Pat was my employer for 40+ years. Not only was he an employer, he was my friend.
Friend seems like such an inadequate word.
I don’t know of a kinder, loving husband, father or grandfather.
He was one of the most honest, loyal people you could meet, and made a difference in many lives.
Pat lived a big life and had an even bigger heart. I will remember our many phone calls, talks and visits. I will miss you my friend.
My sincerest prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
God take you home safely. Rest now

Our entire family sends it deepest heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr. Clifford.
He regularly frequented Babalou’s for lunch while we owned the establishment.
His warm smile beamed brightly whenever he would walk in. He was a very kind and generous person to all the staff at our restaurant. I’m sure many will miss him.
May he rest in peace and his memory be eternal.

My condolences to all who loved him.
Pat was one of my first customers and I was helping him and Rene to keep their electronics running for almost three decades. I still remember most of the ‘patients’ by make and models and what they suffered from.
It was more then business relationship for me, we shared our life stories, talked about our families our views, about our interests, passions, sharing anecdotes and jokes.
I miss him

I have had the privilege of knowing Pat and Rene for the past 27 years as their Maple Leafs usher at Maple Leaf Gardens and then they happened to be in my small section at the Air Canada Centre. Their generosity abounded as they would have two dozen staff up to their home each summer for a get together. They both were very generous and are missed by the staff at Scotiabank.
