My deepest condolences on the passing of Gary to Diane, and sons Gary and Joe. I’ve been a family friend for years although I haven’t been living in Canada for awhile.
Gary was always wonderful and encouraging to me when I was a younger man, even providing hockey equipment to me when I needed some. He was a good mentor to me on and off the hocky rink. A great soul.
RIP Gary and May we meet again in the future.

Gary always had a smile and a few jokes to tell whoever he saw.
Yes the jokes were funny and continues.

Gary was an angel on earth.

Dear Diane Gary and Joe my sincere condolences to all of you in the loss of your husband and father 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. https://esv.org/1Thess4.13-18

I knew Gary for at least 60 years. He was always in good mood and humor. When l lived on the farm he would bring me fresh food. He was a good Christian and belonged to the church for many years. He was a good family man. He worked hard at general freezers.
Wish his family the best.
I will miss him and his jokes.

RIP Uncle Gary. It’s so hard to express our thoughts when someone passes. You fought health issues for a long while and definitely fought hard to be with your family. My heart goes out to you Aunt Dianne, cousin Joe and Gary and Johnny and all his siblings that im sure will miss him. Uncle Gary was such a good guy and it saddens me that the past few years we’ve only been coming together to say our goodbyes which has been unfortunately a lot. I’m sure that your parents, all your siblings and their spouses that have passed before you are waiting with open arms and I’m sure Steve Joy will be there to welcome you as well. May you now RIP.

Of all the people I have worked for over the years, Gary was the only one who understood me and my quirks, and everyone else he took care of as our supervisor. I never worked anywhere over a year except for the five wonderful years with him. I endured his snowball fights INSIDE the sawmill during cold winters, water-hose battles during the heat of summers, and many severe moments in our work environment. Several times, he saved my life while working. Everyone who worked for him loved him. Gary and I stayed close friends even after the sawmill moved north and I had to find other work.
Dianne, you and the rest of your family can take comfort in knowing that the lives of everyone around Gary were deeply affected by him and his loving ways. What a great man!
