We send our sympathy in the loss of your loved one, George. We have known George since I became the minister of Bolton United Church in 1974. George was a very fine man and a wonderful husband and father and grandfather. We see now that there are great grandchildren. He was also a very dedicated Christian and faithful churchman. We know he will be missed by everyone. We also know that you can find comfort in the assurance that he is held within the love of God, and in the gratitude for the many memories of your relationship with him over the years. Most sincerely,

I am very sorry to hear of George’s passing. He was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met. As a choir member at Bolton United he insisted he could not read music after many years singing, but was a reliable bass in that back row. He and Joy were great friends to me and my late wife, Joan, for many years. These people are the stuff of great communities and the world will miss them as they pass into the hands of the Lord.

I’m sad to hear this news but what a life well lived, Uncle George!
Mixed with the sadness of loss, there will be lots of smiles and memories tomorrow.
Matthew 25:23
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

I was sorry to hear of George’s passing. I remember him sitting up in the garage with Dad, while dad was working on one of his vehicles, and you could always see how much they liked each other. I know that dad enjoyed his visits with him a lot.
I hope that they are having another coffee and a chat now

I was unable to attend Uncle George’s funeral this week and so I am sending you my condolences now. While away I was able to reflect on the many ways Uncle George influenced our lives particularly in my youth. I have some great memories (and photos) of meals shared on the farm and learned many valuable lessons there. These experiences continue to serve me well. Thanks for that Uncle George.

Dear Don and family and friends
I have only met George a few times and a number of years ago. I feel like I have known him through so many of DON’s positive comments and stories about his dad.
Losing a parent/relative/friend is always difficult and very sad no matter what the age of the person who died. I am thinking about all of you and Don I hope we can get together soon.
