George Greig Wood

            Peacefully at his cherished home, in Welland, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, George Wood, formerly of Caledon East, born Dundee, Scotland, September 30, 1927, beloved husband of the late Judith Wood.  Sadly missed by his partner Gladys Rennie.  Dear father of Julian and Frances Wood, Brampton; Caroline and Mike Burns, Burlington; Nadine and Wayne Voogd, Scotland, Ontario.  Loving grandfather of Devin, Liam, Michaela, Alex, Jesse and Jakob.  Dear brother of Ernest and Sheila Wood, Toronto; Ella Masterton, Dundee, Scotland and predeceased by Alec, Frank, Jessie and Jack.  The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Friday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.  Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday morning, January 23 at 11 o’clock.  Spring interment St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Caledon.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.  Condolences for the family may be offered at www.eganfuneralhome.com
