Our condolences to you and all your family
Bev Axworthy
Gerry, Norma and the kids were one of the original “settlers” in the neighbourhood and were friends with mom & dad. When Hazel and Art passed away, you were one of the first people to offer condolences and visit Egan’s.
Over the years Gerry would use his snowblower to clean out the driveway when our snowblower was broken. He even felt badly when his physical health prevented him from being able to do it any longer. In the summer he would cut our grass and when our new mower malfunctioned, he fixed it, making it run better than it had when it was first purchased! We knew that when away from home, both Gerry and Norma would keep a watchful eye on the property.
Less than one month ago when Gerry observed Steph shovelling heavy snow at the end of the driveway, he called offering to show her how to use his snowblower if she wanted to use it.
Simply put, Gerry was a wonderful neighbour for over 40 years and the Axworthy Family will most certainly miss him.

Was out snowmobiling for the first time since I left the neighborhood a couple of days ago (1979 or so). I instantly thought of Gerry and all the help and fun that we had on runs with Gerry and the gang.. Helping me fix our sleds although he did most of the work but i did learn so much from him. He always had time to help me or just welcome me to hang out in the garage. We never had to fear the big storms because Gerry would always come bywith his huge snow blower (that i think could pull. mack trucks out of ditches) to help us out..
It saddens me to hear of his passing, Both my mom and Tom and myself were very appreciative of all the things that he did for our family and feel very lucky to have had the Kings as next door neighbors. My condollences to Norma and Family, I’m sure he was so very proud of you all!!
