Gordy…I’ve always been impressed with your deep respect for women in general and your dedication to your wife in particular. While I’ve spent more time with you here in Florida playing golf than I have spent talking with Gloria, it was always evident that she was your soul mate. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. -Nick Borrell

Dear Chiarot Family,
Gloria has been “Auntie” Gloria to me since our families met over 40 years ago. I have so many great memories- making rum balls at Christmas and family get-togethers after Saturday night mass. Auntie Gloria always had a smile, most of all with her grandchildren. May she rest in peace.

Words cannot express how saddened I am at the loss of Auntie Gloria. I knew and loved her my entire life. She was always with a smile and a kind voice. I remember going on outings with her as a young girl and people always thought she was my mother because we both had such dark hair. I will cherish my memories of her forever.
Rest In Peace Auntie Gloria. I love you.

Gord, I read with surprise the news of Gloria’s passing in the Caledon Enterprise. My sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of your wonderful wife Gloria. You guys were great neighbours when we all lived in Cedar Mills and how helpful you both were to the two ladies next door. I remember your kind words on my Mom’s passing on Christmas Eve, in December, 2017. That was much appreciated.
I’m sure you can take comfort in knowing Gloria is in God’s hands. God Bless you and your family.

My sincerest condolences to you, Gord, and all of your family on the recent loss of your wife of 57 years. I happened to see the name “Chiarot” in the Toronto Star obituaries and how many “Chiarots” could there be? I know it is a very difficult time for you now and with the challenging times of the COVID-19, but as they say, time heals and you have your ‘kids’ and grandkids for support. That is a long time, 57 years, and the two of you had to be the perfect match! And to be living at Cumberland Beach, second best place to Florida! Right? Chiarots & Cuneo’s must have taken over Cumberland Beach by now! I think you may still remember me, the lumber salesman that never sold you any lumber! I’m still trying to sell lumber & trusses, even though I should be retired! Sincerely, Mart Rosenberg
