Dear ones: Uncle Jack has been keeping Dave and I informed of your dad’s valiant fight with cancer. We heard today (March 1) that this battle ended on Wednesday. We have fond memories of our visits with your family and his visits with us over the years. May peace and comfort flow like a river over you all knowing there is no longer pain and suffering for your dad. Physical separation is difficult but his spirit lives on. Praise God. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
God saw him getting tired
A cure was not to be
He opened his loving arms and
whispered “Come be with me”
He suffered in silence
His spirit did not bend
He faced everyday with courage
until the very end
He tried so hard to stay
His fight was not in vain
God took him to his loving home
freed him from the pain

Debbie and Brian, Arielle and Emmah,
We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad/grandfather. What I remember the most is how much of an effort he made to be a part of your lives, especially Arielle and Emmah’s, even when it meant long drives from Lindsey or babysitting the girls when they were younger or attending all of those long late night school events. He has truly left your family with a special gift- many wonderful memories.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Gord, Susan & Debbie, We are sorry for your loss. Now your father can truly rest.
My fondest memories of “Uncle Gord” are his signature greeting (“And how’s John these days?”), his soft voice and muted laugh. Whenever he visited there was always some joke or circumstance that made him smile. I am sure that he is smiling now.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Focus on all the wonderful memories you have.
