May 16, 1946 – November 2, 2018
With profound sadness, we share the passing of a dear husband to Jean, loving father to Sarah and her husband Andrew, and Nicholas and his wife Christine. Caring grandpa to his five grandchildren Olivia, Piper, Tristan, Briar, and Tanner whom he loved with his all. They will miss him dearly because he was “so fun”. Predeceased by mother Phyllis and brother Stephen.
Gord practiced dentistry for 43 years in Brampton. He was passionate about his work. He used to tell us “he got his education at the University of Guelph and his trade at the University of Toronto”. His patients were not only a part of his dental practice, they became a part of his family. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. S. Kim, Dr. J. Rahim, nurse Marcy, Dr. C. Cho, nurse Theresa, and all the nurses who assisted Gord on his journey.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre- Southlake Regional Hospital, 596 Davis Drive, Newmarket L3Y 2P9 would be appreciated.
As per Gord’s wishes, a private family interment has taken place at Morningside Cemetery, Palgrave.
Arrangements by Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213).
Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
Rest in Peace Grandpa!

We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Farndon, who we were lucky enough to have as our dentist for almost 40 years. Such a lovely, caring, true gentleman, always so happy, always humming along to whatever tune was playing in his office. We really looked forward to our appointments, as we felt we were part of his “family” as he updated us on the events going on in his own life, so proudly announcing the addition of each precious grandchild. We have truly missed seeing him on our last few visits, but he has always been in our thoughts. Dear Jean, sending our love and heartfelt condolences to you and your family. It has been such a pleasure to have known Gord for over 40 years. He was a terrific dentist and wonderful neighbour in Cedar Mills!
Jean, we attended a significant birthday of yours a few years back. In Gord’s speech, Gord said “once Jean asked me if I would do it all again. I told her “only if it was with you”. Wow! He had no regrets. You made a great team.
You will be in our thoughts and prayers as you move forward. xx

There are no words and no easy way to say everything that we are feeling right now, with the knowledge and passing of our beloved Dr.Farndon. My family began our journey with Dr. Farndon 41 years ago. I was only 5 years old. I remember his loving nature, funny stories, amiable personality and caring chair-side manner. Dr. Farndon saw my family through many trials and tribulations, including the passing of my own Mum in 2015. Everyone was so very kind and friendly, that it was not unusual for myself and my family to declare to our extended family and friends, “We LOVE our Dentist! He is absolutely the best in the world!”
My family knew that when suddenly it was time for Dr. Farndon to give up his wonderful practice that he had built and loved for so many years, that something was seriously out of place.
Dr. Farndon was truly an inspiration! He always told stories of his travels and interesting theories that he was learning about. The one thing I think, that he honestly loved more than his office family, was his own, very special family. He always spoke of his children, loving wife and then grand-children with such devotion, admiration and immense love, that it was very clear to anyone around, how much he loved you all!
Things are not, and never will be, the same without Dr. Farndon there to help us all when we need him.
So now, with a new journey begun and new adventures ahead, I know that when we all arrive, Dr. Farndon will again be there, with all the love and devotion that he forever had in all his dealings, waiting to tell us all about the new fan-dangled things and wonderful surprises that he has in store.
We will miss you Dr. Farndon, more than we already have, but we know that you are still near, helping us through the daily grind, knowing that we shall all met again.
With all our love, bursting at the seams of our hearts, we will forever be in your debt.
Sincerely
Elizabeth Billeter and family.

I played football at Vincent Massey Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke in 1965 with Gordon and his brother Rick and remember him going off to university to become a veterinarian and then heard he had become a dentist. I met up with Mike Davies, a mutual friend and fellow footballer, at the VMCI reunion in June, 2015 and had contacted Rick, only to find that he had lost his sight and heard that Gordon’s health was not all that good. I am saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and brother Rick.
