Having been “in his orbit” for over 40 years (due to my friendship with Brad), I have fond memories of Gord as a kind and decent man. As a middle school student – I smile when I recall Gord helping us with science experiments (especially sourcing reclaimed oil); as a university student – I remember Gord very kindly helping me gain employment at Gliddens (although I’m sure my lack of common sense caused him to regret it at times!); and while living with my own family in Bloor West Village, I fondly remember a very nice evening on the patio reminiscing with Gord and Lois about their life in West Toronto. Lois and family – stay strong and God bless.

Sending my love to you all. I remember Gord when I was growing up. He loved trading jokes with me, it was our thing. I know if I was seeing Gord I would research as a kid and have a joke ready for him. And he in turn would share one with me. I recall lots of softball at picnic get togethers in the summer.
Gord was always well spoken and don’t recall seeing getting angry with anyone.
Much love from family Edwards.
Let us know if you need anything.

Lois, Brad, Kathie and the rest of the family – so sorry for your loss. Gord was a stand up man and I have the fondest memories of him. He was always so kind and welcoming, especially around Christmas time when I would come over with my Dad (Troy) and Grandparents (Gary and Shirley). Sending my love and condolences.

Dear Lois
I was so sorry to hear (through Shirley (Awrey) Freeman) of Gordon’s passing. He always seemed to me to be such a gentle soul. It has been almost 6 years since my husband Bennett passed, so I can understand some of what you are experiencing as you mourn Gordon’s death. It is such a difficult thing to lose your beloved partner. I think of Bennett every day and often feel his presence during the night. I will be thinking of you as you mourn his passing. Such a difficult time!
Blessings on you and your family,
Diana Root
