It is with great sorrow we announce the death of Skip Simons who passed away suddenly at OakvilleTrafalgarMemorialHospital, on August 2, 2009, in his 81st year with his beloved wife Dorothy (nee Maw), daughter Rose Marie Stewart, family and friends at his side.Survived by his son Craig Simons and wife Karen.Skip was well established in the Logistics Industry and spent years as a partner with Peace Bridge Brokers Fort Erie and Livingston International Freight Forwarders Toronto.He spent many years in Kingston, Gananoque, Fort Erie, Hong Kong, United States, Oakville and spent his last years in Burlington.He was a founding member in the Canadian Institute of Custom House Brokers and still connected in the Freight Organization.Past President of the Fort Erie Kinsman Club long time member for over fifty years with the Fort Erie Royal Canadian Legion and more recently associated with the Royal Canadian Legion, Oakville.Skip had a kind and winning way with everyone he met and was always there to lend a helping hand.He will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to meet and know him.The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S.
