Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by his family, on July 26th, 2018. Survived by his wife of 38 years Robin Campbell (nee Nicoll). Loving father of Shonaugh (Allan), Iain, and Robert (Monica). Wonderful Grandad to Keira, and Emma. Son of James and Margaret Campbell. Brother of Stuart (Kim), and Sybil (Pat). He will be greatly missed by all his wonderful lifelong friends, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Iain was born in Newport on Tay and grew up in Methilhill, Scotland before coming to Canada in 1967. He worked at Sears for 14 years and was a dedicated employee at Purolator for the last 32 years.
He was an active member in the community of Bolton as a convener and coach for the Caledon Minor Hockey Association, a coach for the Bolton Wanders Soccer Club and a trainer for the Caledon Bandits Lacrosse. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, photographer, a Scotch connoisseur, a great friend, husband, and father.
A Celebration of Life to honour Iain will be held at Glen Eagle Golf Club, 15731 Regional Road 50, Caledon on Thursday August 2, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m.
