I met Ina during my first teaching job at the Owen Sound CVI in Sept. 1963. I was 21 years old, a BA in English, fresh from a 6-week teaching course. (At this time qualified teachers were in desperately short supply.) I knew nothing about teaching and was floundering. Ina took me under her wing and became my mentor and friend for the 1963-64 school year. I will always be grateful to her for her generosity of time and spirit.
