I will remember Brian fondly from the many times he came into the Town of Caledon offices to rent a park for the Brampton Cycling Club, and meeting him on the Caledon Trailway. Funny, a character, so sweet, always a twinkle in his eye. We should all aspire to have such energy and zest for life. The world is a poorer place with his passing.

All of us at St. Bernard’s Residence will miss Brian. He added so much to our home with his wonderful personality. We always looked forward to our parties because we knew he would entertain us with song and dance. The last being Wednesday, the day before he went to meet his beloved Olga. Thank you, Brian, for being a part of our lives. You were truly an inspiration to us all. May you be enjoying eternal rest in the arms of our loving Father. We love you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. McGrath was a very special man. To this day, every time I’m out on my bike I think of him and how his cycling kept him young and full of life – this inspires me to keep going!

I am saddened to hear of Brian’s passing and offer my kindest regards to his family. I was most fortunate to have Brian as an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor at Centennial College in 1979. He was without a doubt my favourite instructor and the one who left me with a life long positive impression. Years after college we were also fortunate enough to have him drop by our home in Hockley on occasion, and of course he was on his bike each and every time. What a wonderful man…. thanks for being you Brian.
