James Stewart Britton passed away peacefully on March 16, 2012 at Brampton Civic Hospital. He was born in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England, October 27, 1929. He served in the British Army post-World War II for two years. Jim immigrated to Canada in 1967 and worked at Rotax in Montréal for a short period. Later he moved to Toronto and worked in the Aviation Industry, McDonnell Douglas and DeHaviland. He also set up a small engine repair business at home and in his early sixties continued with that full time. He is survived by his wife Marion, his son James Britton, Jane, Peterborough, his daughter Susan Dalrymple, David, Midland, his sister Joyce Wilson, David, Paul, Karen of Niles, Ohio. His stepson Daniel James Scott, Edmonton, Alberta. Also by his grandchildren, Danielle and Joanna Britton, Kevin and Teagan Dalrymple and Dylann James Scott.
Memorial service will be held in St. James Anglican Church, 6029 Old Church Road, Caledon East on Saturday, March 31 at one o’clock.
Interment of cremated remains in Caledon East Cemetery, 15049 Airport Road Caledon East at a later date.
