From CB radios and dirt biking to snowmobiling, from working on cars to feeding Buey the Bull apples, visiting the Early home farm was a fond part of my childhood on 22 Side Road.
Jim was always a welcoming host to the comings ang goings of the kids and their friends with a kind welcome, gentle handshake and stern advice.
May peace be his and your families in this time of passing.

Vi and Family
My condolences on your loss. Back in the 80’s, Jim and I spent so much time together on Federation issues that my new wife was becoming suspicious of us. She was relieved when I told her that some of the meetings ended up at the S&S. Sad to have lost another of Pallet’s Sunday morning congregation. Cherish your memories.

Dear Joanne and family,
We were saddened to read today of the death of your dear Dad and Papa in the Toronto Star and want you to know you are being held close in our hearts and prayers at this sad time.
I give thanks to God for the gift of your dear Jim… for his long and fruitful life… his love of family and friends… his commitment to serving others… his joy at bringing forth life and food from the land. I remember meeting your Dad a couple of times over the years… at Salem-Sandhill services… baseball finals… and at Huttonville celebrations. He was always his grand-kid’s biggest cheerleader, thankful for the opportunity to serve in his church and was a proud farmer through and through!
After seeing you and Angela weekly at the ball diamond for so many years, we’ve lost touch over the past few, yet our shared faith means we will be connected for all eternity. May your faith center, and sustain you at this time. May you be held in God’s comforting embrace of love as you grieve… May the peace of Christ be a place of sanctuary, calm and courage in the days to come… And may the Spirit’s breath be your hope… and remind you that you are not alone in this journey; God is with you – present in the kindness and care of family, friends, neighbours, strangers, and all who are holding you close as you mourn your father’s passing.
Hugs and love to you all,
Sue & Michelle Cowan
