Peacefully at home in Bracebridge on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, Jim Thayer, formerly of Orangeville, in his 87th year, beloved husband of the late Irene ‘Rene’ Thayer (Rankin, nee Cotton). Loving father of Connie and Scott Stewart, Rick and Joyce Thayer. Dear step-father of Debbie and Ken Foster, Doug and Lou Rankin, Beverley Rankin and David Byrne, Bob and Jackie Rankin. Fondly remembered by his loving 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Warmly remembered by his close friend, Gwen Kirkness.
