Esther, Gary and the entire Finch Family,
I was so saddened, and rather shocked to learn of Janet’s passing, just when she was about to embark on a new chapter of her life, one I had hoped she would thoroughly enjoy. Janet had such a remarkable talent in her creation of the most stunning quilts. Hopefully the family members all have been blessed by a gift of at least a small sample, for they are treasures.
I extend my sympathy to all of the large number of family members, for you have lost someone so special.
Remember her strengths, her devotion to her family and her smile.
May she now rest in peace, she deserves it.

Janet and I became acquaintances 55 years ago today when we both acted as bridesmaids at the marriage between her brother Spencer and my sister Joan. But over the years we developed a fast friendship , became travelling companions and shared the love of quilting. She was an artist in terms of any kind of handwork. To the Dobson, Guzik and Finch families, I share in your deep sadness. We shall truly miss this dear lady.

I think Art and Janet adopted our whole family. We all lived in the same house on Quebec Avenue in Toronto. (1961-1965) This lasted until we had too many kids between us.
All these years Janet has been a devoted friend and we always kept in touch.
So many good memories with kids and cottages.
Sending lots of love to Gordie and Janice from all the Kristensen Family.
