To Jean’s family:
I was a friend of Jean’s way back in school days. The McMullin’s lived north of Patterson Sideroad on what is now Innis Lake Road. We lived south of it – same road. I have seen her a few times over the years and marveled at her upbeat attitude in the face of insuperable difficulties. My deep sympathy goes out to all of you at this time. And a word also to George who I remember as a cute little boy.

Barry, Sharon And Mike,
May your hearts be rich with memories for they are pictures painted by the mind and nothing can ever erase them.
We have memories from more than a few decades ago of times spent at your house and more recently of occasional encounters at the Oaks. The constant was your mother’s welcoming smile and graciousness. And your love of and care for her – even to melting milkshakes!
Our thoughts are with you.

Losing someone we love is so very difficult. Eventhough we may be somewhat “prepared” it is never easy. My thoughts are with all of you at this very sad time.
Jean was such an amazing, kind and courageous lady. She always greeted you with a smile and tried to make everyday a happy one. But, she was very fortunate too – she had the support of a wonderful husband, and three wonderful children of whom she was extremely proud.
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know Jean for 40 years. I will truly miss her.

I knew your mother, from her time at Dufferin Oaks. She was so kind to my mother when she first went to the Oaks and always spoke to my sister & I over the years. We lost touch with her, once our mother passed in 2009. I was saddened to hear of her passing. The world has lost a truly wonderful soul.

I met Jean at Dufferin Oaks where I lead worship occasionally. In the early days I remember how well she could sing. My husband, an accomplished musician accompanied me one day. Jean was so appreciative of his talent. Later, when he passed away, she remembered and kindly offered her condolences. I will miss Jean at our small worship group at Dufferin Oaks.
