March 24, 1940 – May 19, 2021
Passed away at Woodbridge Vista at the age of 81 fighting a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jeannette was born in Sudbury, Ontario and grew up in Toronto where she met and married her late husband, Leonard. She is survived by her children, Lorraine Roberts (Robb), Michael Rach and Michelle Rach. Grandchildren: Yasmin, Derek and Liam. She is also survived by her lifelong friends, Eric and Sylvia Pickering. Jeannette was an incredibly talented mother who was known for her vivacious, energetic and bubbly personality. She loved music and dancing. Jeannette has a long list of special talents. She was an avid gardener that grew and canned vegetables, fruits and jam. She was well known for her delicious baking and cooking. She sewed beautiful clothes, designed and built gardens and rock waterfalls. She painted art and walls, restored furniture, knitted, crocheted, and needlepointed. We grew up learning that we could do anything we put our mind to doing. She always advised us to “try our best”. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation in Jeannette’s name to the Scott Mission or a charity of your choice.
