Our world just lost some of its shine! John was always up for adventure, challenge or just anything he wanted to try. And boy he tried as many things as he could! I hope where ever he is now he kicks up a fuss and lets everyone know “Here’s Johnny”. I’ll always remember that twinkle in his eye when he knew he was going to do something that might land him in s#%t, but you knew he was going to do it anyway, just because!

John’s passing is a huge loss for this world.
He had such a magnet personality, everyone he came in contact with for more than a few minutes liked him and wanted to know him better.
My nick name for him was “Hammer” because almost without exception John would do something, ignoring all safety protocol , that he ended up either hurting himself, or something would happed that would be worthy of a million hits if we could just catch it on film.
John was so much better entertainment than anything on TV.
We will miss him.
Our sincere condolences

The world has lost a wonderful soul. John was one of the kindest, most generous, helpful, understanding, honest and thoughtful people i have ever known. In Toronto at least he revolutionized the printing industry being a forerunner in digital printing at Dots & Pixels. He was an inspiration to many of us and considered an industry leader. I am proud to say that I knew him. On a personal note John and yourself were always a joy to be around. He schooled me in snooker on my own table but that big smile and infectious enthusiasm was irresistible. Our hearts go out to you and family because we know what a large and loving presence he was in your lives. Unfortunately we are out of the country and can’t attend the service but our hearts, thoughts, love and prayers will be with you when you celebrate his life.

Sandi, Mandi and Steve,
This news has just been so hard to accept, as I am sure we all agree, John (JR) was a larger than life kind of guy!
I agree with all of the comments that have preceded my note, and have watched as so many of his “Moore Friends” are also struggling with this news, especially when you consider that John left Moore almost 30 years ago!
I personally enjoyed some of my best years working with JR because with him it never really seemed like work. It was how he lived a breathed, you simply had no choice but to join him, because you really wanted to be with him on the next great adventure.
I am so sorry that we are out of the country and will miss what I truly believe will be a phenomenal celebration of life. He will be missed by so many. I hope that knowing just how much he affected so many will give you some great memories and reflection. He was so proud of you all.

Sandi and Family we are so sorry to hear of John’s passing
John was always a good friend even though we didn’t see or speak that often I will always have memories of Bones our mutual nick names between us. At the pool hall playing pool or gittoni , playing football at the Chalkfarm park , down at the creek those times will never be forgotten by many of us that lived in the neighborhood. John was an easy going life loving person who was everyone’s friend almost. John loved life and he lived it to the fullest all the time if he wanted to do something there was no stopping him .
He loved his family and the cottage he was looking forward to going there the last time we spoke . He will be missed by many who he touched all in different ways but always he touched people in positive ways and always helped wherever and when ever he could. Last but not least John was a good man and good friend and will be missed by many.
Goodbye old friend I hope we meet again.

Dear Sandi, our deepest condolences to you and your family. As a technology person I had met Roger thru Aldus software and then Adobe software (1981), we had some great conversations, sharing thoughts about the indigo and printing process’s, later when I was with a corp printer I was involved in a purchasing of a Company in Brampton that also had the same technology and I valued his comforting insights.
Roger was the person who would give and educate and doing that it made me a better person.
God bless, The Kew Family

We are still in shock and saddened by the loss of our neighbour and friend. John was the sweetest man and they guy who had the tool that you would only use once a year and a tractor that was way too small for his giant frame:-). My partner Claire will miss her long chats with John ranging from business, diving and travel as well as his fun loving spirit.
Sandi we will miss hearing you yelling at John for some crazy stunt as he worked around the house.
When I look out to our backyard I will remember sitting with John having a beer and just looking at the stars.
Unfortunately we missed the celebration of John’s life due to travel, but celebrating John will be on-going for us and those who knew him.

John was really one of a kind. I honestly can’t remember one time that we were together where we all weren’t laughing and having the most fun possible. We all loved his sense of adventure and fearlessness. It was awe-inspiring and he made us all better people for it. Mostly John will be remembered for being a wonderful husband to Sandi and an amazing Dad and Grandpa. To know John was to love him and we will miss our very special cousin so much.
Love,
